Essential Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement new or revised manufacturing methods in assigned area to reduce production costs, improve efficiency and eliminate waste
- Investigate and analyze production methods, processes and operations to determine manufacturing modifications that will increase production efficiency, reduce costs and eliminate waste
- Observe and analyze high scrap or rework operation to determine causes. Advise concerned personnel of the results and recommend solutions to problems
- Compile pertinent cost, manpower efficiency, machine capability, space utilization, material handling, etc., to support new manufacturing methods or modification recommendations
- Oversee and coordinate production methods and modifications for production efficiency and cost control.
- Conduct studies to prepare and recommend new and revised operating procedures to maintain control, improve operations, and facilitate processing
- Compile and analyze significant data relative to the solution of lean/manufacturing problems and/or cost reduction studies, i.e.,
- Prepare and submit lean procedures and plans interfacing with employees on specialized jobs
- Utlize the Eaton Lean Six Sigma system to improve the facilities overall performance
- Facilitate the implementation and sustainment of Eaton's Continuous Improvement Framework
- Educate the facility on the methodolgy of Lean and Continuous Improvement Framework
- Facilitate and drive organizational change management on process changes
- Facilitate strategic value stream mappning sessions, EBS pull alignment, and value stream goal setting to ensure plant achievement of Eaton High 5 metrics
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement through problem solving methodology and utilization of A3 problem solving through the Value Streams
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three years manufacturing experience and continuous improvement methodologies
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Position Criteria:
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Lean, Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing activities including methods, processing, tooling, plant layout, work flow, manufacturing cost control and reduction
- Thorough knowledge of lean, manufacturing in order to analyze, evaluate and determine solution to a wide variety of problems that may affect his assigned area
- Human relations skills to direct processing personnel and to work with other plant supervisory personnel.
- Business Communication proficiency (Written and Spoken)
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
