Geothermal Development Company (GDC) is a state-owned organization established in 2008 as a special purpose vehicle to accelerate geothermal development and to promote direct uses of geothermal energy. Having drilled wells in Menengai-Kenya, which produce high and low enthalpy fluids, GDC is planning to establish a geothermal powered Spa-Complex and associated facilities in Menengai to utilize some of the low enthalpy fluids.
GDC wishes to engage the services of a competent company or consortium to undertake a "Detailed feasibility study for establishment of a geothermal powered complex and associated infrastructure". We hereby request assistance in identifying firms that are able to undertake such a study.
The firms must have

Undertaken a similar a study or project related to use of geothermal energy in spa or hotels.

Be a registered company or a consortium.

Have the necessary staff with expertise in engineering, geothermal, environment, legal, social science, finance or other related field to undertake the study.
This is the first phase of the Spa-Complex project.
We will share with the companies, who express interest through this call, the terms of reference (ToR) to enable them make an informed decision.
All proposals should be received by April 20, 2023 so that we can conclude the engagement process by June 30, 2023.
