Role Summary:
In the role of Lead Assembly Technician, you will:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support in every area in shop
- Train/mentor new EE's
- Help direct shop in daily task
- Direct work assignments within the work cell
- Provide additional support to shop personnel
- Promote a positive safety culture with active participation in safety programs
- Support overall plant objectives as well as specific department objectives
- Providing a minimum of 80% direct labor work
- Coordinate work transition between shifts (if applicable)
- Work closely with shop foreman to complete daily task
- Provide a reference for shop EEs
- Fill in GAPs where necessary
- Conduct in-process audits to verify use of work instructions
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a repair/assembly shop
Eligibility Requirements:
- Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
- Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
- Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
- Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
