Under the federal government’s NEVI formula program, some southern states have received substantial funding support. Texas will have access to the highest amount, almost $408 million up to 2026. Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and Louisiana will also receive sizeable funds. With robust EV charging infrastructure plans, southern states are already attracting significant investor interest.
Global Transmission Report is launching the South edition of its series on EV Charging Infrastructure conferences on July 25-26, 2023 in JW Marriott, Austin, Texas. The conference will highlight programs, opportunities, technology and solutions to build a resilient and efficient charging infrastructure in the southern US.
The conference will bring together policymakers, regulators, utilities, charging infrastructure developers, auto OEMs and technology providers to discuss the challenges and explore solutions for building the envisioned charging infrastructure in the southern states of the US.
