Arctic Green Energy Signs a Cooperation Agreement With FŐTÁV in Budapest

May 4, 2021

Arctic Green Energy and the Budapest district heating company, FŐTÁV, have signed a cooperation agreement on constructing geothermal district heat plants in Budapest. The heating plants include production wells, injection wells, heat centrals, and connections to the existing heating network operated by Fötav.

Clean, sustainable geothermal energy will replace existing fossil energy sources, reduce carbon emissions, and improve air quality. The first phase of the project may save up to 21,000 tons of CO2 emission a year in Budapest.

Arctic Green Energy intends to build up a portfolio of green heating plants in Central Europe.
