- The company would like to promote greater public awareness about the efficient use of energy and offers a double motivation to customers: They will be subsidised for each kWh not consumed in their electricity bill and they will be given access to solutions to help them reduce their consumption and, thus, save.
- All customers who have already contracted any of Endesa's tariffs in the deregulated market may benefit from this initiative. And for those who want to register or change their tariff, the company offers a promotion consisting of a 20% discount for 1 year and 10% indefinitely from the second year onwards.
- Customers are also presented with efficient equipment solutions offered by Endesa X, including the installation of solar energy or air conditioning equipment which will help customers to save significantly right from the outset.
- The production, design and broadcast of the audiovisual spot was made taking into account energy efficiency criteria with the aim of generating the lowest possible carbon footprint.
On Friday Endesa launched the "Everything Counts" campaign, the first initiative of its kind that gives economical rewards for the 'non-consumption' of energy to both existing customers and those who register for any of the tariffs that the company has in the deregulated market. The aim is to make people aware of the need to improve energy efficiency in their homes, offering discounts on their bills if they reduce their electricity consumption and providing access to energy efficiency solutions, offered by Endesa X, including the installation of solar panels and efficient air conditioning equipment. With this awareness campaign, Endesa is going one step further and offering the necessary motivation so that each individual action we take to take care of the planet is financially rewarded, because we know that everything we do to save energy counts.
A feature of the campaign, which will appear on television, radio, in the digital press and social networks, is that it was designed following criteria of efficiency and sustainability. In this way, Endesa applied energy savings in first person whenrecording the audiovisual spot, adapting all the filming so it could be made in two days to reduce the carbon footprint. An example of this was the use of eco-generators powered by solar panels, thus ensuring that the energy needed in the production tents was renewable; the enabling of points for the separation of waste; the supply of water using recyclable containers, made exclusively of cardboard; the hire of materials and, where it was necessary to buy them, they would be given a second life; they also contracted local professionals and nearby locations to minimise travel, as well as using electric vans and cars to minimise CO2 emissions.
In the words of Lola Riosalido, Head of Advertising at Endesa, "Sustainable audiovisual production is something we just had to do, because everything we do, also from within the company, counts. In this way, both the production itself, the design and production of the campaign were designed so that the carbon footprint remained as small as possible".
The future of sustainability is to achieve greater energy efficiency in all areas and households play an essential role in this. Families are becoming increasingly aware of the environment and the impact of their consumption habits, but it is not always easy to take the step and take action to be more efficient. This is why the campaign has a double function: To make it easy for customers with solutions and initiatives to reduce their consumption, to learn to be efficient and to save on their bills and, at the same time, to be rewarded for it.
Subsidised efficiency initiative: For every kWh saved, Endesa discounts another from the bill
With the launch of the campaign, Endesa announced a tangible savings proposal both for customers it already has in the deregulated market and for those who register for any of the tariffs that the company has in the deregulated market: If for three months they manage to consume less than during the same quarter in the previous year, in addition to saving that consumption, Endesa will reward them in euros the difference between one quarter and the other for the kWh saved and not consumed: In other words, for each kWh they save, another will be discounted from the bill.
The initiative is digital and customised. To benefit from this, customers should register from their client area, where they will be informed of the challenge in which they can participate to reduce their consumption compared to a reference period in the previous year. If they meet the challenge, for each kWh they have managed to reduce, another will be discounted from their next bill. To help them, the energy company will provide each registered customer with individualised monitoring of their progress, as well as keys and tips to help them save. Maite González, Endesa's Manager of Residential and Business Customers, explains: "We would like to motivate the customer to really see that everything they do counts. This is the thread of our narrative throughout the campaign."
Furthermore, and to increase savings, Endesa has launched a promotion consisting of a 20% discount on electricity consumption for one year on most of its tariffs on the deregulated market. From the second year onwards and indefinitely, the discount will be 10%.
To be able to benefit from these discounts, interested parties who register as new customers should contract the Tempo Happy, One Luz or Libre tariffs on the in-person channels (commercial offices and service points) or via the telephone and digital channels. Also, current customers who re-contract electricity with the One Luz and Tempo Happy tariffs will also be able to benefit from the promotion, which is already in force and will be available until 30 August.
Promote small gestures, because everything counts
It can be done with small gestures in our daily lives, like changing bulbs for others of the LED type, not using the stand-by on domestic appliances, filling the dishwasher or washing machine, lowering the brightness of the screens, regulating the temperature of the thermostat in winter and air conditioning in summer, as well as installing efficient equipment, such as appliances with good energy classification, installing solar panels for self-consumption or electrifying the home both to cool and to heat it.
In this regard, Endesa calculates that a family of four (two adults and two children) could save about 125 per year if they replaced more than half of their lighting with LED lights, filled the dishwasher to the maximum, defrosted the refrigerator, took advantage of the residual heat of the oven or ceramic hob, reduced standby use by 30% or if they did cold washes half the times they used the washing machines, just to give you a few examples In the same way, two adults living together could save about 95, which would be equivalent to an energy saving of more than 16% in both cases.
