SSE's CEO, Alistair Phillips-Davies, responds to the Scottish Government's update on its climate targets:
"There is no doubt Scotland has the natural resources and the skills to be a world leader in reducing emissions.
"But to get there needs action as well as ambition.
"We need to accelerate progress, in particular around consenting, where it still takes too long to get planning permission for clean energy projects in this country.
"SSE alone could invest more than £20bn in Scotland in the next decade.
"The quicker we can do this the faster the country will reduce emissions, strengthen energy security, and create thousands of good jobs."
