EGEC is coordinating the work with GCP EUROPE, EUREC - The Association of European Renewable Energy Research Centres, SolarPower Europe and the European Commission.
The Partnership will identify the skills measures needed to deliver our climate and energy security goals.
Commenting on the partnership, EU Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson said: "This large-scale partnership under the Pact for Skills will help the massive deployment of renewables that we need for the energy transition. It will also help us achieve the 2030 REPowerEU targets, which require the creation of 3.5 million jobs by 2030 in all renewable energy sectors."
EGEC will also be working throughout 2023, the #EuropeanYearofSkills, to support the sector in reaching the necessary workforce, and to help build the geothermal workforce of tomorrow.
