PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) Ulubelu Area made an achievement at the CSR Outlook Award 2023 event by winning the Best Practice in Economic Empowerment Category through the Tali Patra program (Sustainable Farmers Prosperous Forest). The award organized by PT Olahkarsa Inovasi Indonesia and the Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD) was handed over directly by Unggul Yoga Ananta, the Co-Founder and CEO of PT Olahkarsa Inovasi Indonesia, to the Operations Director of PGE, Ahmad Yani, on July 25.
The CSR Outlook Award is an appreciation event for business people who implement their CSR programs. All winners in each category have gone through a series of comprehensive assessments. Beginning with submitting program papers, Desk Assessments, pitch Papers, final Assessments, and the announcement of winners. There were 27 company participants who took part in this year's CSR Outlook Award event.
"This award is concrete proof of our company's positive impact on society and the environment. We will continue to be committed to continuing to contribute well to society in line with the sustainability of our business," said Ahmad Yani.
PGE Ulubelu Area always contributes actively to efforts to improve the environment and increase the welfare of the people in the operating area. This will continue to be carried out in line with the company's vision and mission to become a world-class green energy company with the Largest Geothermal Capacity Globally capable of supporting national energy security.
The PGE Ulubelu Area currently generates electricity from geothermal energy of 220 MW and contributes 24% of the electricity supply for Lampung Province, which illuminates around 240 thousand homes in the Lampung region.
