"Giving consumers the opportunity to support locally produced solar energy while powering their homes without the expense or inconvenience of installing solar panels is one of the many ways we are working to deliver convenient and innovative energy solutions to our customers," said Elizabeth Killinger, president of Reliant.
Demand for solar energy in Texas continues to grow; however, many residents do not have the option or interest in installing solar panels on their rooftop. The Reliant Local Solar plan fills the gap by connecting Dallas and Houston-area homeowners and renters with energy generated at Texas solar farms.
A Solar Farm in Your Community
Customers who enroll in this plan will support the generation of 100 percent solar energy for their home from two Texas solar farms, Eddy II near Dallas-Fort Worth and Bovine near Houston.
Features of the Reliant Local Solar plan include:
- 100 percent Texas solar energy
- Exclusive access and support of solar energy produced locally at two Texas solar farms
- Three-to-five year term lengths with no cancellation fees
Capacity for the Reliant Local Solar plan is limited, and customers are encouraged to sign up while space is available. To learn more and switch to the Reliant Local Solar plan, visit reliant.com/localsolar.
