Envision Energy, the world's leading smart energy solution provider, will install 5 of its EN110-2.1MW turbines at 100m hub height in La Esperanza Wind Farm, located in the Negrete Municipality.
This contract marks Petroquim's entrance into Chile's renewable energy sector and Envision's gradual positioning in the country, within a year from the installation and commissioning of its first set of turbines in Ucuquer II Wind Farm.
"This order for five EN110-2.1MW turbines, one of our most competitive models, resulted from our technological leadership, global support and on-the-ground presence," said Felix Zhang, Envision's Co-founder and Executive Director.
"Chile, given its strong commitment and set goals towards 2020, favorable regulation, and stability, not to mention good wind resource, qualified technicians and infrastructure, is set to become our regional hub," said Rafael Valdez Mingramm, Envision's Director for Latin America & the Caribbean.
Under the terms of the agreement, Envision will supply, transport and install turbines with an estimated completion date of March 31, 2016. This contract is accompanied by an operation & maintenance agreement.
