Minnesota Power is launching a suite of new rebates for electric lawn and garden equipment, E-bikes and EVs at this week's Arrowhead Home & Builders Show.
The new rebates will help lower the upfront cost of electric push and riding lawn mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, chain saws, E-bikes and new and used EVs. Visitors to the Minnesota Power booth at the show can learn how switching from gasoline-powered equipment and vehicles to electric alternatives can reduce noise, emissions and maintenance costs.
The rebates for Minnesota Power customers reflect the company's commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency and customer affordability, making it easier for customers to choose electric equipment and vehicles to fit their lifestyles, whether they're mowing the lawn or commuting to work on an E-bike. The rebates also complement the company's leadership in moving to a carbon-free future in ways that maintain reliability. Minnesota Power provides nearly 60% renewable energy today and is on track through its EnergyForward strategy to provide 80% by 2030.
Here's a quick look at the new rebates:
- $25 for a chain saw, leaf blower or trimmer
- $50 for a push lawn mower
- $175 for a riding lawn mower
- $200 for an E-bike
- $250 for a used EV
- $500 for a new EV
Enhanced rebates are available for income-qualified customers, ensuring these benefits reach households that may face higher barriers to adopting electric technologies.
The 58th annual Arrowhead Home & Builders Show will take place April 9-12 at the DECC in Duluth.
Attendees are invited to visit the Minnesota Power booth where they can enter a drawing for an electric lawn mower. Representatives from the company's Customer Programs and Services team will be on hand to answer questions, provide information about eligibility for the new rebates, and showcase the advantages of going electric. They also will offer information on rebates for appliances, heating and cooling equipment, water heating and other programs available to Minnesota Power customers.
