Minnesota Power seeks power supply proposal for solar generation

Minnesota Power a division of ALLETE, Inc. (NYSE: ALE), is seeking power supply proposals for 1 megawatt to 300 megawatts of solar generation, including Community-Based Energy Development (C-BED). The company seeks cost-effective solar resources that utilize Federal Tax Credits for solar projects on behalf of its customers. This request is part of Minnesota Power's broader evaluation process that considers the costs and characteristics of different power supply types (e.g. wind, solar, natural gas, demand response, and distributed generation) to optimize the mix of resources to meet customer needs.
