Energy Development Corp. (EDC) is set to complete three more geothermal power projects this year after inaugurating the 28.9 megawatts (MW) Palayan binary geothermal power plant (PBGPP) here last Friday (July 5).
EDC said these projects are the 20 MW Tanawon binary also located here; the 28 MW Mahanagdong binary plant in Leyte and; the 5.6 MW Bago binary in Negros Occidental.
Jerome Cainglet, EDC president and chief operating officer, said the company is venturing into three battery energy storage systems (BESS) also scheduled to be completed within the year.
