The funds were received in March 2025 to provide emergency liquidity support to the сompany. This first 50 million of the total 200 million will provide financial support to Ukrhydroenergo and strengthen the сompany's financial stability under martial law.

On February 17, 2024, a loan agreement totaling EUR 200 million was signed between Ukrhydroenergo, EBRD and the Government of Italy under the Emergency restoration of hydroelectric power plants project, and a Guarantee Agreement was signed between Ukraine, EBRD and the Government of Italy. The goal of the project is to restore Ukraine's energy infrastructure damaged by Russia's military aggression, which is critical for the stability of our power system and ensuring the country's energy security.
