November 13-14, Warsaw. At the international exhibition and conference ReBuild Ukraine Construction & Energy, Ukrhydroenergo representatives, led by CEO Ihor Syrota and Supervisory Board members Oleg Terletskyi and Vitaliy Kushnirov, actively participated in the dialogue on the restoration of Ukraine's energy sector.
This large-scale event brought together representatives from more than 30 countries, including Ministers of Energy, representatives of energy companies, donors, business consultants and energy business experts. The main goal of the event was to join efforts to rebuild Ukraine's infrastructure, which suffered serious losses from drone and missile attacks by the aggressor country.
The energy sector, in particular the rebuilding and modernization of its capacities, was one of the central topics of discussion at ReBuild Ukraine.
Thus, during the panel "Political and Regulatory Framework: Ukraine's Energy System as Modern Net Contribution to EU Energy Stability and Security", the participants discussed that the need to restore Ukraine's energy facilities is extremely urgent, as many facilities, including hydro power plants, have suffered significant damage after numerous enemy attacks.
As part of the conference, Ukrhydroenergo held a number of important discussions aimed at deepening cooperation with international partners to rebuild hydropower facilities.
The meetings also focused on the current state of the Ukrainian hydropower industry and the possibility of its restoration. One of the key areas of the dialogue was attracting international financing, which could significantly accelerate the restoration and modernization of damaged facilities.
"Rebuilding the energy infrastructure is not only a matter of Ukraine's energy security, but also a contribution to the stability of the entire European energy system. Today, we have a unique opportunity not only to restore what has been destroyed, but also to build a modern, resilient infrastructure. Thanks to the support of international partners, we will be able to implement the most innovative hydropower projects, thereby increasing Ukraine's energy sustainability," said Ihor Syrota after participating in the conference.
Representatives of Ukrhydroenergo will also present promising projects focused on the development of renewable energy in Ukraine. Given the global trend of switching to clean energy sources, these initiatives are important not only for the Ukrainian energy system but also for achieving European climate goals.
On November 14, as part of the panel "Main Focuses and Challenges of Ukraine Energy System Recovery," Oleg Terletskyi, a member of the Supervisory Board of Ukrhydroenergo, will speak about the key challenges and difficulties currently faced by the hydropower industry.
