The great success of a video about the world's greenest data center leads E.ON to buy additional climate certificates. The film https://youtu.be/8ET3PGxdcAU has already been viewed almost four million times on the Internet. However, the company has only offset the CO2 emissions caused by playing the video in data centers for 3 million views. By purchasing additional CO2 certificates, E.ON is now ensuring that the film can be viewed up to 5 million times on YouTube in a climate-neutral manner.
With a wink, the video tells the story of the discovery of the world's greenest data center in the Bavarian village of Grotach. It is part of the #GreenInternet information campaign, in which E.ON informs about the connection between the Internet and power consumption in data centers.
