RES4Africa Foundation, is proud to announce the successful conclusion of the First High-Level Managerial Course on Renewable Energy and the Energy Transition. The groundbreaking program organized by RES4Africa as Italian Government knowledge partner, was held from October 15-24, 2024 at UM6P in Ben Guerir, and carried out thanks to the partnership with the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P),  under the auspices of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Italy within the framework of the Mattei Plan for Africa, with the support of the Enel Foundation and the collaboration of the Embassy of Italy in the Kingdom of Morocco. It brought together leading professionals from across Africa to enhance their competences and contribute to the continent's energy transition.

The 10-day intensive course equipped 48 high-achieving participants from 23 public institutions, energy companies, and research organizations across 14 countries with the essential skills to address challenges and seize opportunities in Africa's evolving renewable energy markets.

The course offered a comprehensive curriculum, covering topics such as power sector decarbonization, renewable energy policies, regulatory frameworks, and cutting-edge innovations. Renowned industry and academic experts and International Organizations officials from RES4Africa's network delivered interactive workshops, case studies, and real-world examples, offering participants extremely valuable insights into the latest advancements in renewable energy technologies.

The program also facilitated knowledge exchange and networking among the participants, fostering long-term professional relationships and strengthening collaboration across the African energy sector. The course not only advanced technical and managerial expertise but also promoted stronger partnerships between Italy and African nations, in alignment with the Italian Government's Mattei Plan for Africa, which prioritizes the promotion of skills and competences necessary for the energy transition and to encourage the creation of decent jobs at a continental level.
