Santee Coopers EVolve Grant recipients for 2024 have been selected and include innovative projects to benefit Horry and Georgetown residents and visitors.
The 2024 EVolve Grant recipients are:
- Elite Home Care will use a $25,000 grant to buy an electric vehicle to take people to medical appointments in Conway.
- The City of Conway will use a $12,500 grant to buy an electric pontoon boat to ferry people over the Waccamaw River.

"The number of EVs and hybrid vehicles in the United States has doubled since the start of 2020," said Vicky Budreau, Chief Customer Officer. "These grants are helping our customers become leaders in adopting technologies that are in high demand and transforming how we drive."
Applications for the 2025 grant process open March 3. Santee Cooper business customers are encouraged to apply for up to $25,000 each to improve electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in Santee Cooper's service territory.
The EVolve Grant program allows eligible commercial customers to apply for grants for EV projects in the categories of make-ready research, education and outreach, EV charging infrastructure and electric fleet conversion.
The application deadline is August 15. Applications go through a competitive scoring process that will be completed by an independent third party. Funding of projects is not guaranteed.
