UK battery developer Harmony Energy Ltd. is planning a £300 million capital raise to fund its expansion into European markets, including Germany and Italy, where rising wind and solar output is increasing demand for storage, as reported by Bloomberg.
The company aims to grow its substantial GW pipeline, with 2 GW ready for construction by the end of the year. Founder Peter Kavanagh highlighted Germany as a standout market due to grid constraints, while the UK, France, Poland, and Italy also remain key priorities.
Harmony has already delivered 700 MW of operational projects and recently energised the 100 MW Cheviré site in Nantes, France's largest energised battery storage project, capable of powering 170,000 homes for two hours.
