Statement from Clean Power Alliance Executive Director, Ted Bardacke on Biden Administration Rejoining Paris Agreement

January 22, 2021

On behalf of Clean Power Alliance (CPA), I want to express my profound appreciation and congratulations to President Biden for his Executive Order to rejoin the Paris Agreement. With climate change being one of the most crucial issues facing humanity, it is paramount that our nation be among the leaders in this fight at the global level.

As the nation's top provider of 100% renewable energy, CPA takes seriously our responsibility to lead at the local level in the creation of sustainable communities by providing renewable power and creating jobs. As a result of CPA customers' and communities' collective choices, in the last year alone we avoided more than 890,000* metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions. We stand with you in the fight against climate change and the creation of an equitable low carbon economy.
