Santee Cooper Makes Conway Neighborhood Energy Efficient

Santee Cooper successfully reached a major milestone in its Power Partners income-qualified neighborhood energy efficiency program, completing its initial goal of serving up to 150 Conway residents with no-cost energy-saving upgrades. More customers will be served in the coming years.

Power Partners provides energy education to help households adopt long-term energy-saving habits. By making energy-efficiency improvements such as LED lighting, weather stripping and insulation, the initiative helps customers reduce energy usage, lower monthly bills and improve comfort. Here is what some customers have said:

Community outreach efforts will continue to inform residents, enroll eligible households and schedule installations to start in 2026 and beyond.

"This program is about energy efficiency, comfort, and empowering residents to take control of their energy use. We're excited to bring this opportunity to even more neighborhoods in the next few years," said Bryan Lewis, Director of Retail Customer Service.

Santee Cooper electric customers who don't qualify for this program are still eligible for Empower Home Rebates and Incentives.
