Dominion Energy South Carolina is enhancing its EnergyWise for Your Business program to help commercial and industrial customers maximize energy savings and lower costs. Financial incentives have increased from $100,000 to $150,000 per project type per year, allowing businesses to take on more impactful energy efficiency projects.
The enhanced program now offers expanded support for system optimization projects, which help businesses fine-tune existing equipment for peak performance and energy efficiency. These projects may include restoring equipment to optimal operation, adjusting control schedules or improving chiller and mechanical system performance. Individual pieces of equipment may be eligible for optimization incentives once every three years.
"These program updates reflect our ongoing commitment to helping our commercial customers across South Carolina achieve savings by investing in cost-effective energy efficiency upgrades," said Annika Goodson, program manager. "By increasing funding limits and adding new incentive options, we're giving our customers even more tools to help meet their needs."
Additional program updates include:
- Agricultural projects: Now eligible for up to $150,000 per project, with the opportunity to combine with other custom upgrades for up to $300,000 per year.
- New incentives for heat pump water heaters: Support for energy-efficient water heating systems to reduce energy use and operational costs.
- Guest room controls for hotels and motels: Incentives are now available for occupancy-based control systems that reduce HVAC energy use when rooms are unoccupied.
- Prescriptive incentives expanded: Now include high-efficiency premium motors and compressed air systems to support energy savings in industrial and commercial settings.
