This role is a specialist in power acquisitions negotiations and contract management, focused on BC Hydro's portfolio of contracts with Independent Power Producers. The position has diverse responsibilities which may include:
- managing complex electricity purchase contracts and contract issues, where significant financial and/or corporate risks exist;
- leading development of new power acquisitions programs and initiatives, where no precedentexists, and;
- leading the resolution of contractual disputes and policy issues, where significant financial and/or corporate risks exist.
The successful candidate will be a member of a team of contract managers, providing contract negotiation and evaluation leadership in negotiations with various stakeholders within BC Hydro's power acquisitions and economic development processes.
This is role will involve duties related to electricity purchase agreement contract management, negotiation, financial and economic analysis, business case development, and strategic assessment.
