The successful candidate will support the day to day Distribution GIS and Mapping needs at our 755 Jefferson Street and Columbus Operating Headquarters.
Job Summary:
Data Management plays a vital role in Georgia Power Company's planned strategic direction and daily operations. This position is responsible for the input, processing, and maintenance of Distribution data in accordance with the Geographic Solutions and Services (GSS) Organization's work procedures and consistent with the Southern Company GIS Data strategy. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing support to different business units in the company and will be expected to assist in storm restoration activities which may include working after hours and weekends. Additionally, the successful candidates will be responsible for conducting spatial analysis utilizing GIS software and to produce specialized map products from our distribution facilities data.
