Lead the Energy Services finance support for ENMAX's focus on delivering integrated energy solutions and service excellence for customers.

Lead, coordinate and manage the corporation's Retail Back Office processes and reporting, analysis of product margins, as well as support finance processes for ENMAX Power Services Corporation and Energy Solutions, including performance analysis and forecasting / budgeting in collaboration with business partners. This role supports a primary area of growth and new ventures for ENMAX.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Lead monthly and quarterly reporting and variance analysis processes
  • Manage all ad-hoc audit requests as well as the sign-off of quarterly lead sheets
  • Lead the Back Office budget and operating plan processes including variance analysis and reporting for Senior Management and the Board of Directors.
  • Manage Cost Allocation models for Customer Care and product profitability, including knowledge of system integrations along with billing software and practice
  • Design and review Ad-hoc reports (i.e. Billing margin report, activity based cost report)
  • Lead the process of new retail product integrations into Back Office Operational systems as well as into Finance ERP systems
  • Review new customer contracts and product proposals to ensure finance processes are designed in advance
  • Attract, manage, mentor and support staff in a manner that builds and strengthens employee relations and commitment
  • Ensure income statement and balance sheet accounting is in compliance with IFRS as well as participate in the analysis and recommendations
  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree and Professional Accounting designation (CGA, CMA, CPA or CA)
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in a financial and analytical role
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience working with/in the energy, commodity industries, and/or large organizations (greater than $0.5B asset base)
  • Understanding of economic hedges and knowledge of system integrations along with billing software and practice - Alberta utility experience would be considered an asset
  • Ability to produce and deliver effective presentations and summaries to both Senior Management and External Stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of IFRS requirements
