Your Duties

Stantec's Environmental Services practice seeks an experienced project manager with expertise in site assessment and remediation in our Denver Colorado Office. This position will be responsible for a wide array of job duties including:

  • Management of environmental remediation and compliance projects

  • Carrying out a wide variety of assignments related to the investigation, remediation and redevelopment of environmentally impaired properties

  • Scoping and implementation of field and office work

  • Interacting directly with clients, represent clients in regulatory agency meetings and negotiations

  • Supporting business development and marketing efforts for existing and new clients across Stantec organization

  • Supervision of a team of scientists, geologist, and technicians

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Self-motivated professional who is a high-energy individual

  • Strong technical, organizational, project management, and communication skills

  • Track-record of exceptional client service in environmental consulting practice

  • Have a strong commitment to safety

  • Minimum of 12 years' experience with a wide range of site remediation technologies for complex soil and water contamination problems, involving various contaminants such as petroleum hydrocarbons, metals, VOCs, PAHs, PCBs, and agricultural chemicals

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or Geologist is desirable

  • Ability to identify and develop project closure strategies for complex sites

  • Thorough knowledge of current regulatory framework pertaining to site remediation

  • Experience with Brownfield and/or Superfund sites is desirable

  • Knowledge of Colorado regulations (including Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment) and experience working with EPA Region 8 is desirable.

  • Strong understanding of the local environment and clients in the Denver metropolitan area

Prior to employment with Stantec, this position will require the successful completion of a physical and drug screen.
