The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Sr. Software Systems Analyst in Gastineau, Canada.

Job Summary:

Sr. Software Systems Analyst to provide system analysis services to our client in support of three key tools in a command and control information system. The successful candidate will work as part of an embedded team and will work closely with our clients operational and user communities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, analyze, design, code, test, integrate, implement, evaluate, support and deliver software and/or software changes in order to integrate the current and future versions of GCCS-J, NAPPIC and ULTool and related applications into AFCCIS. 
  • Update the AFCCIS Implementation Plan, documentation, and execute test plans. 
  • Prepare, evaluate, and identify training material (requirements) and deliver training to operational and administrative users as required. 
  • Support application life cycle management by promoting communication between users, business sponsors, Life-Cycle Managers, Configuration Manager, and the Change Manager. 
  • Participate in the development of documentation, problem resolution, technical evaluation, and testing. 
  • Define procedures for software metrics collection and analysis. 
  • Perform analysis of software performance and system sizing, generating technical reports of the results and software architectural enhancements to improve the sizing and performance of the software. 
  • Document and implement procedures for establishing and maintaining Software Development Folders or Files including design considerations and constraints. 
  • Update and maintain the GCCS-J, NAPPIC, and ULTool training suite to reflect the current operational Command and Control components used by the operational personnel. 
  • Carry out product development and integration in accordance to system specification. 
  • Develop unique Air Force capabilities including Canadianizing the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and data as needed. 
  • Provide input to configuration management of GCCS-J, NAPPIC and ULTool systems. 
  • Liaise with other DND personnel and projects on technical / coordination issues. 
  • Deliver third line functional and technical support, including advice to operational and support personnel.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree from a recognized university in engineering or computer science with 4+ years of overall related experience in software development or software maintenance OR a two-year college level certificate in computer science combined with a minimum of 5+ years of related experience OR 10+ years of experience as a System Analyst with emphasis in software development or software maintenance plus OEM configuration and management training in FlightPro and VMware. 
  • 5+ years of demonstrated knowledge and experience within the last 10 years working as a Senior Systems Analyst in a military operational environment or the federal government. 
  • 3+ years of experience within the last 10 years in analyzing software performance and system sizing. 
  • 3+ years of experience within the last 10 years identifying training requirements for the AFCCIS weapon system users. 
  • 3+ years of experience within the last 10 years of designing interfaces for integration of multiple applications such as GCCS, NAPPIC and UL Tool into AFCCIS type environment. 
  • 2+ years of experience within the last 6 years supporting the implementation of an IM/IT project involving a real-time delivery of critical Air Force Command and Control services. 
  • 1+ years of experience within the last 5 years supervising, monitoring and managing the rollout of software upgrades such as service packs, security patches, and anti-virus products. 
  • Currently possess an active Government of Canada, Level II Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with all aspects of application life cycle management. 
  • Experience maintaining test, dev, training, and production environments (code management, software migration, etc.). 
  • Experience planning, analysis, design, coding, testing, integration, implementation of software and/or software changes. 
  • Experience with the collection and analysis of software metrics.
