Description
As a key member of the Price Mechanical team, the candidate will be charged with the development and growth of this growing business unit. In so doing, they will provide support to owners, architects, consulting engineers, and contractors as well as to internal customers on the technical application of products. The Application Engineer is responsible for providing expert-level technical support, which includes the developing and testing of applications that satisfy product needs. They review material specifications, select products that fulfill their needs in terms of functionality, performance and budget. This includes making detailed technical presentations to customers and the management team that show advantages of using certain applications over the competition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting customers with product selection and layout.
- Working Directly with Sales Representatives and engineers on new projects including:
- Equipment selections
- Quoting
- Sales assistance
- Training of customers in our technical centers, or by travelling throughout our distribution network.
- Assisting in the development of marketing and software tools.
- Assisting the R&D department with new product development.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-7 years related experience.
- Aptitude and desire for customer service excellence.
- A good understanding of HVAC, heat transfer, psychrometrics, and controls.
- Self-motivation with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
