Working procedures: the following are the usual major job duties but this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties by the incumbent, nor the question being raised on the proper rate of pay for the assignment:
- Ensure all test operations are conducted safely. Responsible for day-to-day execution of test operations supporting production.
- Develop and oversee execution of test plans and experiments.
- Assist test operators in all test areas with setting up test equipment, interpreting test specifications, daily tester checkout procedures, and resolving test conduct problems.
- Ensure electrical test standards, mechanical equipment quality. Initial troubleshooting of equipment.
- Accounting for materials entering and exiting the test area.
- Assist Quality Department with studies for verification of tester accuracy, gage R&R studies, correlation studies (internal and external), product qualification.
- Assist Engineering with process experiment test plans, gathering production data for analysis, verifying production test plans meet customer specifications, material review of failed product to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and apply customer test specifications, MIL-PRF-19500, MIL-STD-750, MIL-STD-883, and comparable commercial and industry standards and specifications.
- Work with engineering to develop, test and implement hardware and software capability improvements.
- Develop and maintain process control documentation related to test (product routers and work station instructions). Develop training material and implement/oversee test-related training of operators.
- Proficient with MS Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook (Access and Visio a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret product datasheets and customer specification documents
- Ability to organize and analyze datasets in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to perform basic statistical analysis (average, std deviation, histograms, trendlines); practical experience with Minitab or similar tools Occasional domestic and international travel, approximately-2 days per month avg.
- Must be US citizen or lawful permanent resident.
- Must have, or be eligible for, a US passport.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
