This internship allows for the learning and development in the following areas:
- Exposure to the Siemens IT application support process
- Knowledge of quality assurance and testing techniques
- Application troubleshooting
- Input into tool evaluation and software architecture decisions
- Exposure to cloud computing and mobile application development
- Hands-on experience supporting mobile applications
Required Qualifications: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Exhibits strong problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Understanding of programming methodologies and of the software development lifecycle
- Working knowledge with one of the following object oriented programming languages
Java, Objective-C, Swift or C#.NET
- Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, XML or other web programming languages
- Willingness or demonstrated ability to learn new technologies
- A minimum of 20 hours a week must be worked
- Local candidates preferred.
Candidate must have minimum 3.0 GPA and be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in web development or creating database driven dynamic applications
- Exposure to methodologies for user experience optimization or user interface design
- Experience developing with Salesforce.com
