Purpose of the Job

Organize / Set up the project flows to ensure cost optimization.

Therefore the aim is to define the optimized external (from suppliers to Alstom site, from Alstom site to customer) and internal (from warehouse to production space) material flows and finished goods flows.

Responsibilities

  • DEFINE FLOW & PACKAGING OPTIONS : optimize Logistics costs, write the logistic specification
  • DEFINE LOGISTICS PARAMETERS: build Logistic & Packaging Specifications applied by suppliers & Participating Alstom units
  • NEGOTIATE: with Supplier and/or Logistics Providers
  • SETUP INTERNAL PACKAGINGS & internal pull-flow (including production line footprint, warehouses...)
  • DRIVE SUPPLY CHAIN DEVELOPMENT through return on experience , support decision making s, define/ select/ execute  cost-optimized solutions (C-class management, outsourcing 3-4 PL, Supplier Advanced Warehouses, Supplier Advanced Facilities, milk-runs, )
  • Continuously IMPROVE the logistic solutions      
  • FOLLOW-UP       execution, costs & packaging database
  • COSTING SUPPORT give input in tender phase / reference
  • DEFINE & MONITOR finished good (trains) transport/shipments to customers.
  • Ensure developments that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies
  • Develop and provide appropriate training for SC members to enable them to improve and achieve their objectives whilst effectively contributing to business performance
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5  years experience in Supply Chain/Logistics
  • Audit knowledge
  • Experience in SAP
  • Ability to negotiate
