RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinating and executing field assessment, remediation and reclamation projects and managing subcontractors for upstream and downstream projects.
- Leading staff professionals and supervising field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support.
- Developing and implementing work plans and soil sampling programs.
- Providing training and supervision for entry level technicians and field professionals as needed.
- Driving quality execution and proactively progressing projects toward regulatory closure.
- Coordinating and supervising completion of Phase I, II and III environmental site assessments through well site reclamation certification for upstream and downstream projects.
- Reviewing documentation in support of field programs, scientific investigations, and engineered solutions.
- Actively participating in and managing safe work practices for employees and any contractors on-site.
EXPERIENCE & ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in science or engineering (preferred), or technical diploma in related sciences.
- 5 - 8+ years of relevant experience; previous reclamation and consulting experience is a must.
- Previous excavation/drilling experience will be highly beneficial.
- Experience working with and coordinating project efforts with multi-faceted teams on site-based projects.
- Understanding of environmental regulations in Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and Manitoba.
- Experience or expertise with Loss Prevention System (LPS), or similar behavior-based loss prevention systems.
- Advanced computer skills with MS Office software, including Excel skills.
- Eligibility for registration in a professional organization (APEGA, AIA, etc.) is an asset.

POSITION CONDITIONS
- Up to 90% of time may be dedicated to field work in adverse environmental conditions including inclement weather.
- Requires travel in and out of local area and spending time away from home.
