Description

POWER Engineers, Inc - Facilities Division is growing and we are currently seeking talented Architectural professionals to join our award winning Boise, ID office team. POWER specializes in Federal and Industrial/ Food and Healthcare facility design. We are responsible leaders with a focus on the future providing functional and high performance buildings with controlled environments. The goal of our highly dedicated staff is to deliver the best possible projects and experience for our clients, users and communities through the integration of responsible design practices and the sustainable ideals of LEED and LEAN design. A major component of our design process is the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) an integrated collaboration tool communicating 3-D design to our project teams, owners and construction professionals.

  • Licensed architect who manages multiple small / medium projects, coordinates all aspects of assigned projects, and estimates scope of work
  • Has full responsibility for Architectural design and coordination between multiple disciplines to develop the overall building design as well as coordinate industrial space to integrate egress and personnel flow
  • Through extensive understanding of building codes and regulations and their impact to designs. The process of navigating their integration into the project execution
  • Writing and editing building Architectural Construction specifications including division 0 and 1 content
  • Actively manages clients budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments
  • Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts
  • Lead other disciplines in perform ongoing "over the shoulder" checks and formal document reviews of all discipline deliverables on multi-discipline projects. Ultimately responsible for quality control of the project deliverables
  • Excellent customer service and demonstrate client relationship building skills, including maintaining diplomacy
Requirements
  • Licensed Architect
  • Architectural degree with 5 or more years' experience
  • Ability to manage all aspects of multiple small to midsized projects in various phases of design simultaneously
  • Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects
  • Managerial and good interpersonal skills
  • Experience using AUTOCADD or other CADD software

Desired Education/Experience

  • Experience in Industrial and Food Manufacturing Facilities
  • Experience in Hygienic Space and controlled environment design
  • Experience using REVIT software
  • NCARB certification or ability to get certification within 6 months
