Eaton's Crouse-Hinds Division within the Electrical Sector is seeking a Project Administrator. The Project Administrator will be based at our Windsor, CT facility.

The Project Administrator will serve as the primary contact for our customers regarding quotations, returns, and technical solutions.  He or she will help to create demand for our products through phone contact and on-site visits.

 Essential Responsibilities:

Inquire To Quote:

  • Identify upcoming projects, review the scope, and estimate the high level scope and size of the project
  • Provide guidance to the Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to ensure timely actions on quotes, approvals for pricing, and terms and conditions within delegation of authority guidelines
  • Review and analyze incoming requests for quotation and determine appropriate and accurate product selection
  • Identify product gaps and sole source conditions to provide guidance to the RSMs on actions before the FAA to enable participation in bids
  • Review bid strategy and deadlines for quotes with RSMs to enable electrical contractors to present their quotes to general contractors in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate quotes in SAP to enable Associate Product Line Managers and Supply Chain to perform forward buy reviews based on upcoming demand
  • Work with Finance and Operations to identify opportunities for early invoicing and production planning

 Order to Remittance:

  • Manage projects within assigned Region(s) from order to final sign off/payment
  • Set internal and external expectations on lead times and delivery schedules
  • Lay out project plans, owners, and milestones
  • Communicate the scope of work and commissioning dates to the Field Services Manager
  • Monitor the progress of manufacturing, software development, commissioning, and delivery schedules in order to identify project risks and propose alternative solutions
  • Effectively communicate with end users, engineering firms, contractors, Operations, Finance, Field Services and Sales in a timely manner
  • Review the backlog of orders within assigned Region(s) ensuring timely invoicing and no aging of orders in the system
Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 2 years of Inside Sales or Project Management experience within the electrical industry
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position.  Only candidates residing within a 50 mile radius of Windsor, CT will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial) or in Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing
  • Fluency in the French language preferred
  • PMP certification
  • Airport lighting experience

Position Criteria:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system helpful Ability to interact with clients at all levels and translate client needs into solution requirements
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in interpreting plans and specifications and developing quotes
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
